The Urupa is situated in Ngatarawa 1A3A Block. Our ancestors are buried in that urupa and it continues to be a sacred and well-respected place for whānau to respect their loved ones buried there.

Trustees are kaitiaki of the urupa and we should take care of it, maintain the fences and look after the aging headstones that have cracked and diminished over the years. We acknowledge the Gemmels for keeping the urupa nice and tidy. 

If any whānau members want to go up to the Urupa, they must seek permission from the Trustees or the Leasee - for safety reasons.
